About the Hoosier Housing Needs Coalition (HHNC)

The Hoosier Housing Needs Coalition (HHNC) was formed by members of Indiana’s housing security advocacy community in April 2020 to support advocacy and education related to housing and homelessness prevention. It continues today as Prosperity Indiana's fastest growing coalition, with aspirations to address Indiana's shortage of housing supply in addition to a power imbalance between landlords and renters in the state. Priorities of this group include housing stability & affordability, tenant protections, and housing equity.

Staffed by Prosperity Indiana, HHNC convenes partners from across Indiana to provide education and advocacy to achieve equitable federal, state, and local policies for housing stability and affordability solutions. HHNC also has a guiding body called the Steering Committee. Members of the HHNC Steering Committee are leaders in the Indiana housing advocacy and education space.

Why Join the Coalition?

By joining this statewide coalition you'll get access to educational webinars & newsletters, accessible avenues to engage in public policy advocacy to strengthen your community, networking opportunities with organizations around the state, and leadership opportunities. And the best part— it's free! While we recommend considering Prosperity Indiana membership as well in order to get access to our many exclusive member benefits, the coalition is open to the public.
